Important Update

Attention

Dear families,

A huge 'shout out' to all of our families who have supported our community with their hard work to ensure their children are learning from home.

Today you may have heard that the NSW Premier announced that the Campbelltown LGA would be included in the group of LGAs identified as at a higher COVID risk and subject to stricter lockdown requirements.

For many of our community this is a worrying time, and I want to reach out to you and let you know you are not alone and that together as a community we will get through this.

There are many links to many community and school resources on our website and Facebook page that will provide you and your family with support.

Here is a link to the NSW Department of Education website, and the current advice for families in light of the evolving COVID situation in NSW.

This link provides consistent and accurate information for parents and families of children in NSW Department of Education schools.

Today's changes for the Campbelltown LGA has meant some changes for our school as well. We are required to further minimise staff on site, and only staff who themselves live in the Campbelltown LGA should be on site. As a result, a 'skeleton staff' of only 2 to 3 personnel (this includes teaching, administrative and general staff) will be in attendance at school from tomorrow.

I know that you will be understanding if it takes us a little longer to respond to your questions or enquiries. Wherever possible, can I again encourage communication via email, as this can be managed remotely.

The NSW Premier's report today also announced that Year 12 students would be returning to school on Monday 16 August. Principals are awaiting more information regarding what this will look like, particularly given the newly announced status of the Campbelltown LGA. When that information becomes available, I will share it with you.

Please be reassured Year 12, their wellbeing and their HSC remain a top priority for our staff.

In the immediate term can I encourage Year 12 to continue to fully engage in their Learning from Home.

Take care,

Ms Barnott-Clement
