Year 7 and 8 - Think You Know Incursion
ThinkUKnow is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police, Commonwealth Bank, Datacom and Microsoft, and delivered in partnership with all State and Territory police and Neighbourhood Watch Australasia.
ThinkUKnow is a national program delivering online child safety information in schools and organisations to parents, carers, teachers and students from the first year of school to Year 12.
The ThinkUKnow program gives parents, carers, teachers and students information on how to stay safe online. Topics included within the presentations are specifically aimed at educating and increasing awareness about online child exploitation including avoiding unwanted contact, online grooming, self-generated content and how to get help.
This term Year 7 and 8 are going to be involved in the program at school and it will be presented by our School Liaison Police Officer.
When: 26 August 2020 (Year 8) and 2 September 2020 (Year 7)
Where: School Common Room
Time: Due to COVID 19 restrictions students will come up in class groups at an allocated time. Your child will attend for one hour (1 period).
