To remember the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, students of Year 7 Japanese have been reading the book 'Sadaku and the Thousand Paper Cranes', a true story of a 9 year old girl who died from leukaemia as a result of radiation poisoning from the atomic bomb. Moved by this, students from Mabo and Rose wanted to make one thousand paper cranes of their own.
