Our Year 12 Formal date has changed to Monday 6th December. All Year 12 students will receive information in their email in the coming days, so please keep an eye out.
Please email Year 12 Year Adviser Mrs McAteer with any questions.
From the formal venue:
We are awaiting the release of the official Public Health Order that will outline exactly what separate rules will apply to us as a Venue, and gives us a full & detailed list of what we can and can’t do after 1st December. Once this is released, we’ll be in touch to discuss your event in further detail and start confirming details for catering, decorations, numbers, floorplan etc however for the meantime, please note the following rules that will be in place for all Year 12 Formals held across Wests Group Macarthur venues:
- Anyone who enters the venue must be able to sign in electronically to a venue using the ServiceNSW QR Code. For those without smartphones, they will need to obtain a ServiceNSW Check-In Card which can be created here: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/create-covid-19-check-cardThe COVID-19 check-in card is a hard-copy (printed) card with a unique QR code that contains your registered contact details. When you enter a COVID Safe business, a staff member scans your card and your visit to the premises is electronically recorded. If the business device is unable to read your QR code, the staff member will enter your details manually into the Service NSW business online ...www.service.nsw.gov.au
- Attendance must be limited to Year 12 students and supervising teachers only. Partners from other schools and parents are not permitted to attend.
- All teaching staff and essential visitors (DJ, Photographer, etc) must be double vaccinated.
- There is to be no congregating out the front of venues, at the entrances or in the carpark. All guests must move inside immediately to avoid overcrowding.
- Due to ongoing development works in the immediate vicinity of Camden Lakeside Golf Club, the turning circle outside the function room has been closed, with vehicle access now limited to those with mobility issues only. As such, we must insist that no special or novelty vehicles are organised for student arrival. Any special or novelty vehicles will be turned away at the entrance to the carpark. We will have staff & security throughout the carpark ensuring that everyone makes their way safely to the function room.
- Maximum of 10 attendees per table.
- Dance floors and dancing are allowed. Unfortunately, outdoor dance floors are not available at any of our venues, however all our venues are considered to be ‘well ventilated’ due to the presence of air conditioning and the height of our ceilings. We can also open the verandah doors to allow more air flow if needed.
It is very important that these details are passed on to parents as early as possible to ensure everyone has plenty of time to plan for the event and avoid any confusion or disappointment on the night. We understand that these rules are far more strict than any we’ve had to impose in the past, however these measures must be put in place to ensure we’re complying by all the health orders whilst maintaining a safe environment for our guests and staff.
As I’m sure you can appreciate, this is an evolving situation and some of the rules above are may change depending on government advice. As more or new information comes to hand or if these conditions change, we will communicate this to you as soon as possible.
