Yr 11 Biology Compulsory Field Trip Excursion.

Camp

As part of the Year 11 Biology course, your child is required to attend a field trip to Wooglemai Environmental Education Centre. Wooglemai Environmental Education Centre provides quality educational experiences for students in an outdoor setting. Ambarvale High School has been using these facilities as partof the Biology course for a number of years.

Students will participate in a variety of activities that help to achieve the outcomes required for the compulsory 'Depth Study' component of the Preliminary HSC Biology course.

When: Tuesday, 16th March 2021 - Wednesday, 17th March, 2021 (Week8).

Where:  Wooglemai Environmental Education Centre, Sheehys Creek Road, Oakdale.

Itinerary and transport

• Students are to meet Miss Kilcoyne at the Science staffroom at 8:40am.

• Students will depart from Ambarvale High School at approximately 9:00am and will catch a bus to Wooglemai Environmental Education Centre.

• Students will spend Thursday night at the Wooglemai Environmental Education Centre, under teacher supervision.

• Students will return to Ambarvale High School at approximately 2:50pm on Wednesday, 17 March 2021.

Cost: $75.00. All monies must be paid to the office by Wednesday, 10 March 2021 or online via the Ambarvale High School website (https:/ / ambarvale h.schools.nsw.gov.au/ ). Receipt or record of payment must be attached to the permission note and returned to the Science staffroom.

What to bring: A full list of equipment recommended by the Environmental Education Centre is attached. A hat, sunscreen and wet weather gear is also recommended.

Dress Code: Appropriate clothes for bush walking, including correct footwear, such as boots or fully enclosed leather shoes.
