Ms McKenzie

I am very lucky to be a part of a dynamic, innovative and professional team here at Ambarvale.

We have an excellent school where students are given every opportunity to excel.

It is a privilege to be in a position that allows me to watch young people thrive and grow in such a supportive educational setting.

My passion is to ensure ideally that all students' learning is personalized, challenging and encompasses skills that can transfer into the workplace.

David Macpherson - DP of Years 8, 10 and 12 in 2019

David Macpherson

I am looking forward to assisting all of the students in Years, 8, 10 & 12 but particularly Year 12 students as they begin their journey towards their HSC.

It is important to ensure that all students, regardless of the year that they are in, are at school every day, on time, and attend all of their timetabled classes. This will ensure that they do not miss any of the course related information and activities that will help them to achieve the best results in all course related tasks and classwork.

Students in Year 12 commenced their HSC at the start of term 4 2018. Year 12 students should have already set up a regular study program for course summaries, revision and preparation for both their assessable tasks and for their HSC exams which commence in the first week of term 4 2019. This will assist them to achieve the results that reflect their abilities within each of their chosen courses.

Students in Year 10 are starting a year where they will be working towards the Record of School Achievement (RoSA) at the completion of 2019. The RoSA will be awarded for satisfactorily completing all of the course work and assessable tasks.

Students in Year 8 will start with a set pattern of study very different to their primary school  and several new subjects from the pattern of study in Year 7. They should be starting to think about which subjects they may be interested in, and that they are good at, to study as their electives in years 9 & 10. These selections will take place early in Term 3.
